Self doubt

I'm really not feeling excited about my own characters at the moment, which is strange thing for me. I'm taking this time to do fan art instead and since I am utterly in love with and inspired by Steven Universe, it's more Steven Universe art.

A recent episode showed Pearl seeking validation of her self worth through fusion with Garnet. In the past Amethyst has done the same. They both doubt themselves, and struggle with their own self worth. I wonder if that hesitation is present in Opal? If only they could see how beautiful they are, especially together.

I tried very hard to give this one a background. I don't usually do them, so when ever I do I always learn a lot!
